Francesco Zuddas was born on March, 26th 1976 in Monfalcone, Italy.

He graduated at the Technical Institute for Surveyors “N. Pacassi” in 1995, with a level of 60/60. From July 2000 to December 2001 he worked in the electronic industry as a technical at Ixtant Spa. In May 2003 he worked in a research and development project in the sailboat field at the University of Trieste.

From October 2003 to June 2007 he taught computer science at IAL FVG, before starting to work as a quality and security manager at Precasa Scarl (July 2007-July 2008). He reached his MSc in Mechanical Engineering in 2008, then joined the Genefinity Srl team as a multiphysics modeler and mechanical designer.

In 2009 he started a PhD in Chemical and Energetic technologies at the University of Udine (Italy) sponsored by Genefinity Srl. In his PhD he is working on thin film thermocouples, produced with PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) techniques: mainly DC and RF magnetron sputtering and vacuum evaporation.

Other areas of interests are vacuum chambers design, process engineering, thin film technology, prototyping and mechanical design.
